The Group and its subsidiaries have entered into various operating lease agreements for machinery, offices and other facilities as lessees. Lease terms do not contain restrictions on the Group’s activities concerning dividends,
additional debt or further leasing. Rent expense amounts to EUR 11,420 thousand in 2003 and EUR 8,143 thousand in 2002 respectively. Future lease payments under non-cancelable operating
lease are as follows:
